Alita Carbone is currently an investor at emerging VC fund manager ISV supporting extraordinary early-stage founders and teams commercializing science-based technologies across energy, manufacturing, materials, and agriculture.
With founding roots at Activate, one of the world's premier deep tech accelerators. ISV’s three-year old Fund I consists of 2 unicorns and has invested in market leaders such as Antora, Brimstone, Twelve, and Fervo Energy
Prior to joining ISV, Alita helped lead a $22M Series A2 financing while Senior Director of Corporate Strategy at Claros Technologies, a University of Minnesota spin-out company commercializing technology for PFAS destruction in industrial wastewater.
Alita served on the investment team that led the Series A financing in Claros, a venture capital / growth equity emerging fund manager in Portland, Oregon called 3x5 Partners with over $400M+ raised across 3 funds and dozens of SPVs.
While at 3x5 Partners and prior to its acquisition by American Century Investments (an amazing outcome for an emerging fund manager), Alita invested in passionate entrepreneurs developing innovative healthcare and climate solutions for human (life sciences, medical devices and diagnostics) and planetary health (energy, ag, water, waste & recycling, grid tech). Select activities while on the team at 3x5 Partners include investments in Enzic, Koya, Fervo, and SOURCE and liquidation events such as Pfizer's acquisition of Amplyx Pharmaceuticals (2021) and Roche's acquisition of Good Therapeutics (2022).
Alita started her career as an Investment Banking Analyst (SERIES 63/79 certified) at William Blair in Chicago in the industrials coverage group after graduating from the University of Chicago with General and Departmental Honors.
